Location:
This traditional 5-star palace hotel occupies an elegant Art Nouveau building dating from 1913, located in the heart of Bern, next to the Federal Parliament. Bellevue Palace with stunning views of the Bernese Alps and the Aare River.
The Hotel Bellevue Palace Bern is the official guesthouse of the Swiss government. Over the years, it has hosted famous guests such as Charlie Chaplin, the Queen of England, Jacques Chirac, Nelson Mandela, Sophia Loren, Bruce Springsteen and Fidel Castro.
Hotel facilities: includes 2 bars, 2 restaurants, a sauna and a fitness center. Free WiFi is available.
The VUE brasserie & terrace serves French and international cuisine (15 GaultMillau points), and a daily buffet breakfast is available every morning until 10:30. For late risers, a continental breakfast can be served in the room, and room service is available daily until midnight. The terrace offers a panoramic view of the Aare River or the Alps.
Guests benefit from free public transport within Bern and the hotel is conveniently located for day trips to Interlaken and Lake Thunersee, which is 56 km from the property.
