At the northern part of the Lago Maggiore at the canton Tessin, embedded at the delta of the maggia river, there is Locarno, the climatically mildest city of the switzerland with 2300 sunny hours/year. Brione, the typical and idyllic tessin village, located at the most sunny hill of the Tessin, is located only 5 minutes by car away from Locarno. The area stands out by it´s southern charme, the mediterranean clima and the subtropical vegetation. Very often the florescence of the camellias, mimosas and magnolias is starting already in february.
