Established in 1767, the family-run Hotel Schiff am See offers you a terrace right on the shore of Lake Murten and a garden restaurant. The Murten train station is a 10-minute walk away. Each room is individually styled and features period furniture. Swiss and international cuisine including fish specialties is served in the Lord Nelson restaurant of the Schiff am See hotel. A variety of rooms are available for seminars and family events of up to 200 people. The harbor and the Old Town of Murten as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pool can be found in the immediate vicinity.WiFi is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.

Public parking is available at a location nearby (reservation is not possible) and charges may apply.

Children of all ages are allowed.
Children 6 and under stay for free when using an available crib.
Children from 7 to 12 years old stay for CHF 35 per person, per night when using an available extra bed.
People 13 and up stay for CHF 50 per person, per night when using an available extra bed.
Any type of extra bed or crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.
Additional fees are not calculated automatically in the total cost and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.

Hotel important information: Guests are kindly requested to inform the hotel in advance of their estimated time of arrival. This can be noted in the Comments Box during booking or by contacting the hotel using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. Please note that there is no elevator in the hotel. All rooms are located on the first or second floor. Please note that from October to beginning of March the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On those days the reception is only open until 16:00. Arrival after this time is not possible.
