Bern, capital of Switzerland, lies at an altitude of 542m, the plains of Switzerland, located approximately in the center of the plain country.

Public transport is highly developed. There are three tram lines and numerous bus lines that communicate with all neighborhoods of the city and villages of the periphery.
From 1929 Bern-Belp Airport, which operates several flights offers in several European cities (especially to Germany and Austria). The airport is located less than ten miles south of downtown in an area called Belp.
