The community of Laax is located in Kanton Graubünden, Switzerland. It lies on a sunny plateau at an altitude of 1,016 m, above the Rhine gorge. Due to diverse snowboarding events, fun parks and a large amount of free-ride areas, Laax has become a Mecca for snowboarders. There is also an attractive après ski programme.
The resort is also well suited to families and children, owing to the many low-difficulty pistes as well as childcare options. Away from the pistes the marked hiking trails and two toboggan runs also offer non-skiers something fun. But also fans of après ski will get their money's worth with the wide range of bars and clubs.

Laax is known as one of the most popular places for fans of freestyle skiing. No wonder that the resort therefore offers apres ski for the younger, party-hungry visitors. Especially Laax and Flims offer a good selection of bars and clubs. At the valley station Laax snowboarders meet up in the "Crap Bar", for example. Further in-locations in Laax are the "Riders Palace Club", the "Indy Bar", "Il Pub", the "Iglu Music Bar" and the "2nd Club". In Flims you will find the "Arena Bar" and the "Lagna Bar" - here the entire furnishing is fully made of wood.

If you want to reload your batteries after a strenuous day on the piste you can choose from the many ski huts within and out of the ski area. Flims and Laax provide a board range of gastronomy offers - from a sturdy brewery, via cosy inns and pubs with Swiss specialities on the menus, right up to Asian noddle bars. If you want to stay active you can try some of the 100 km of winter hiking trails or go on a ride on the one of the two toboggan runs. The 3 km long track into Flims is also lit up on evenings per week.
