location: This hotel is located in its own attractive and well maintained gardens, not far from the main town centre. rooms: The rooms vary a lot in size and style as the hotel has only been partly redecorated. On average the rooms are medium-sized and range from fair to good condition. Some of the rooms and bathrooms would certainly benefit from renovation. restaurant: The main dining room is located on the ground floor off the lobby. It is a large and grand room blending the elegant with the rustic. exterior: The exterior of the building is very impressive. With its traditional Swiss style architecture it looks like a mini-chateau. lobby: The lobby is large and grand with decorated pillars and intricate coving to the high ceilings. There is a lively lobby bar and a cosy lounge area with ample seating and an open fireplace leading off from the reception. general: This hotel has very interesting architecture and is located in its own beautiful grounds. It is run by a youthful manager who also runs a well known backpackers’ hostel located next door. Consequently there is a lively atmosphere and guests are actively encouraged to join in with the many sporting and outdoor activities for which this region is becoming increasingly well-known.
